Pokemon Go developer and Fold have announced a game that allows you to earn Bitcoin.

  • Niantic has released a new game in which you can earn Bitcoins.
  • Every 10 minutes, you can receive rewards in this game, which is part of the Fold app.
  • To reveal the reward, all you need to do is click on a block that spawns near you and solve a puzzle.

Fold AR, a new game developed in collaboration with Fold, a cryptocurrency debit card company, was announced by Niantic, the developer behind the popular game Pokemon Go.

The game, according to the business, is part of the metaverse and will appear to Pokemon Go players in the same way. Instead of Pokemons, though, the game is based on cryptocurrency, and users may earn bitcoin by playing it.

How to play the game?

Only the Fold app has the game, which can be found under a new "Play" menu. When you open the Play page, you'll notice blocks all over the place that you can tap to reveal rewards.

The blocks spawn within a 50-foot radius of the user, and a new block spawns every 10 minutes, reflecting the cadence of bitcoin mining in real life. A puzzle is revealed when the player touches on the block, and solving the puzzle leads in an explosion of rewards.

Satoshis, the smallest unit of Bitcoin, more spins to collect awards on the fold card, orange tablets to protect you from hazardous surprises in the game, and time extensions to play the game for extended periods of time are among the incentives in the game.

Aside from rewards, the game also includes surprises like the poison pill that bans you from playing for an hour.

"The augmented reality experience is a natural extension of the Fold App, which currently allows you to earn bitcoin by doing things like buying coffee, shopping, paying bills, and even paying your taxes." While anybody may participate in the experience, Fold Cardholders can earn extra spins and rewards boosts to raise their Fold Card rewards, according to the company's blog post.

The current game is only a beta, according to the business, and gamers will be able to enjoy the full experience starting next year. Users will be able to "discover, trade, and conceal bitcoin and other prizes anywhere in the world," and merchants will be able to "engage the community with incentives and offers."

"Bitcoin, we believe, is really a game." And, according to the business, "millions of people all around the world are already playing this game every day, working to obtain bitcoin through mining, trading, shilling, and earning in the goal of financial freedom."
